3-Colour Risography is a 2-part workshop aimed at introducing the 3-colour Risoprinting process.
The workshop is planned with photography in mind, though this process can also be used for printing photographs/scans of artworks such as paintings or other pre-exisiting imagery.
Participants will learn how to produce colour separations for their images and print a 3-colour Riso print of up to A3 in size (in a small edition).
This 3-colour process has been developed by Risoprinters as a way of duplicating images, in particular photographs, with a greater range of colour tones. Sometimes called “faux CMYK”, in our process we use the inks Yellow, Fluorescent Pink and Medium Blue (no black). It should be emphasised, however, that this isn’t the CMYK process but rather something else which transforms and alters photographic imagery—an approach with its own artistic merits and possibilities. Think more “art print” than “reproduction.”
Participants should be prepared to spend time preparing their work between sessions 1 and 2.

24.4.2026 Session 1 (5-7pm). In the first session, we cover the basics of Risography, making colour separations, and preparing files. Participants can discuss their own project ideas.
8.5.2026 Session 2 (5-9pm). This is the printing session where everyone prints their work. This session can overrun so keep an open schedule just in case.
