Description
In this one-day workshop you will combine playful rubber-stamp mark-making with Risograph printing. Co-hosted by printmaker and illustrator Karin Eremia, you will be guided through the process of working with stamps, exploring shapes and composition before transferring the works to the Risograph printer for reproduction. The workshop aims to offer you new tools for play and experimentation within your practice, whether creative or otherwise. The workshop is fully analogue.
No experience required. We will supply all the necessary materials, and give you space for approaching the process in your own way. Each participant will make a small edition of 2-colour A4 size Risoprints.
The workshop takes place from 10.00-16.00 on Saturday 28th February. The participation fee is 95€. Refreshments served.
Karin Eremia is a freelance illustrator and printmaker originally from Romania and now based in Helsinki. Her work is deeply process-led, focusing on printmaking methods such as trace monotype and rubber-stamp mark-making, along with cutouts and collages. Her distinctive illustrative style is experimental with a strong analogue focus, oftentimes resulting in Risograph and screen prints.
